A stone edifice rises from behind some trees.

Departmental offices, classrooms, and a full range of laboratories are located in both Kennedy Hall and Robertson Hall. The department maintains a wide variety of state-of-the-art instruments, equipment, and other resources to enable cutting-edge research by faculty and students. In addition, faculty in chemistry have individual dedicated lab space for their research to meet the research needs of each person. The following is an updated listing of chemistry department facilities and equipment:

NMR Spectroscopy

  • Bruker Avance 400 MHz NMR spectrometer with a 3-channel broadband probe capable of 1H, 13C, 19F, 15N, and 31P data collection and a 24-sample automated sample changer. (NSF MRI-2214877, 2022)
  • Bruker F80 80 MHz benchtop NMR (NSF MRI-2214877, 2022)
